CHPE4114 Computer Aided Design (2 credits)

(Pre-requisite: PNGE3202)

This course covers: Modeling and simulation; Introduction to computational tools available for the solution of chemical and process engineering problems; Chemical process simulators; Spreadsheets.

• Aspen HYSYS is specialized for hydrocarbon processing and dynamic simulations, making it ideal for the oil and gas industry.

• Aspen Plus is more versatile for general chemical engineering applications, especially in industries requiring complex chemical process simulations.

Learning by doing, peer-to-peer teaching, and computer simulation are all part of the same equation.
